Anitua Supermarket is one of two supermarkets based on Lihir. It serves all segments of the local market – from grass roots products, like fresh taro, to imported specialty products to cater to the needs of the residential expatriate community.
The supermarket team prides itself on sourcing the right products at the right price, all served with a friendly smile. The supermarket has a bakery, butchery, kai bar, general supermarket and variety section. The supermarket’s variety section rivals many throughout the country, and stocks a wide range of clothes, kitchenware, manchester, household products, jewellery, toys and general variety goods. The popular Kai Bar keeps hungry workers satisfied with a range of local and international dishes.

The Supermarket has seen a number of improvements over the past number of months; we have seen new state of the art air conditioners installed - a welcome sight and feel for all shoppers. We have also seen a great improvement in quantity and variety of products that are meeting the needs of both local and international shoppers.

Plans are underway for a new, state of the art Supermarket that will rival any major Supermarket in Papua New Guinea. Part of the plan is to include a café, where shoppers can sit down in air conditioned comfort and enjoy a good Goroka Coffee with a biscuit or cream bun or order something from the lunch menu.
